I'm going to swallow some Ajax now. Talk to you later.
Sorry. I made money off this game. I despise the Pats, but this was a gimme.
Oh no! Congrats on your windfall, Jack, but I really like Marty. I just don't understand why he has such lousy luck in playoff games.
John Elway loves Marty too. ;) Maybe he is the reason that Marty has such a mental block.
Hard to blame this one on Marty. Fumbled punt, fumbled interception, needless Unnecessary Roughness penalty - if ever there was an example of a team giving a game away this was it.
All true- but still his presence, his karma.
I've always been pretty anti-Marty, but this one can't be blamed on him. I expected the Chargers to be outcoached; they weren't. They were prepared, they had good playcalling, and they had a solid gameplan.
But in the end, running backs don't win playoff games... quarterbacks do. Rivers was in his first career playoff game... he's essentially a rookie QB. Brady, on the other hand, is still Brady.
Besides, the Chargers are still a young team, and should be a contender again next year. The only reason Marty will get fired is because he isn't getting along well with his boss... and that's a pretty crappy reason to get fired.
Brady threw three interceptions.
Brady threw three interceptions.
But you can't just look at the stats. Based on the stats, Peyton had a horrible game against the Ravens. But he got a bunch of key first downs, kept the chains moving, and led the Colts on five scoring drives. By my watching, Peyton played a very good game.
The question isn't whether you make mistakes, it's when and how costly.
