The answers are relatively easy. Blogger, Blogger and Blogger. Ok, that is not totally accurate. I built my blog from the Blogger templates and then tweaked with help from various other bloggers and Mandarin Design.
My posts are developed in a number of different ways. I write about my life, past trips, friends, girlfriends, jobs, experiences etc. I also like to comment on various stories that catch my eye, sometimes they might be about politics, history, science, sports or odd news. I also will comment on the posts of bloggers from around the blogosphere.
As for paying the faithful seventeen the readers developed over time. I went searching for blogs that I found to be of interest and posted comments on them. Some of those people followed my comment back to this blog and decided that they liked it enough to keep coming back.
I admit to being a bit of a blog whore. That is from time to time I'll gravitate to a particular blog and spend time reading all of the blogs on their blogroll and will comment on them. I do it for a number of reasons.
1) If I am reading their blog I find something about them to be interesting so I am curious to see if the common interests translate into other interesting blogs to read.
2) I like people and think that it my blog is more interesting when it is populated by more people so I am always looking for new readers.

I hope you were listneing to either the Chicago Symphony (Levine) or Montreal Symphony (Dutoit) recording of Holst's 'Planets'. Anything else is simply substandard. :-)
I have about four different versions and I am sorry to say that I am not sure which one I was listening to.
How do I get paid? I am not one of the 17 faithful, but I am sure I am one of a handful of part-timers who stroll through here.
AT,
When you see Larry Brown ask him to give you the check I left for you with him. ;)
oh carumba. He already left to NY. With his money and the check you left for him.
And so another Detroit team fades into obscurity.
I listened to Knockin' on Heaven's Door- sung Jerry Garcia as I read this post.
