Just a short observation about how light traffic becomes during holidays. There are an awful lot of us checking in on each other from the office, or so it appears to me.
So the question becomes do you blog or read blogs solely from work or is this a business and pleasure venture for you.

Hey Jack - I thought I would explain my quick response the other day - wouldn't want you thinking I'm just brushing you off because... what was it? It's cool to bash the US?
-------
Americans give 15 cents per day per person in official development assistance to poor countries. The average American spends four times that on soft drinks daily.
In 2003, the latest year for which figures are available, we increased such assistance by one-fifth. But as a share of our economy, our contribution still left us ranked dead last among 22 top donor countries.
We gave 15 cents for every $100 of national income to poor countries. Denmark gave 84 cents, the Netherlands gave 80 cents, Belgium gave 60 cents, France gave 41 cents, and Greece gave 21 cents (that was the lowest share, beside our own).
Anyways, if you think that government aid doesn't reflect public generosity... then I can give you some statistics on that as well... adios, Jack.
Hi Mike,
I appreciate the comments, but it still leaves a number of questions. I'll focus on one. What do you want to see happen? How much do you think we should give?
I am not against helping people, but there are reasonable expectations. And just because someone is successful is no reason to expect themselves to go into bankruptcy to share the wealth.
The Misanthrope writes in the blog from home. If there is some down time, then we read the news online, but mostly we blog from home.
