Hello, My name is Inigo Montoya

A simple gauge for determining friendship involves reciting Hello, My name is Inigo Montoya and then waiting for the other person to finish the line.

Every once in a while I run into someone who hasn't seen the movie, but not too often.

Of course we know that Hollywood offers much gratuitous sex, violence, and foul language. "I want my father back, you [s.o.b.]!" was the great lesson for my children regarding when it is permitted to swear. I told them that the line was perfect, and was not even slightly distasteful. Naturally, they all played Inigo Montoya after that, every chance they got, defending the authenticity of their language. I figure if anybody does their father wrong, I've invested in excellent avenger training. May he live and be well. ;-)

Great movie, especially since it stars my husband. (No, not really, but people say he's a ringer for Mandy Patinkin.)

"You killed my father. Prepare to die..." I think my kids have seen this movie 11,000 times...."inconceivable!"

Ruti,

Amen. It is just too much fun and Inigo is a nice Jewish boy, so what can we do.

Miriam,

Thank your husband for a fine film. ;)

WBM,

That movie has so many quotable lines in it. Just awesome.

One of the few movies that was as good as the book (albeit shorter).
