If Life Ended Today What Would You Regret

The question really is, if you died today would you die filled with regret or feeling like you did the best that you could with the time that you had?

Two things:

1) Not going to Israel when I had the chance at 18

2) Not listening to my instincts about my ex

The last is tempered by the fact that though my marriage distingerated into violence, I was blessed with a wonderful son

While there are things I still want - to the point of NEED - to do (go to Israel, finish my second novel, see my children reach bar mitzvah, graduate, marry and have children of their own), I am comforted by the fact that I've always made an effort to live honestly and be present to the very best of my ability for the things and people that are most important to me.

Tough question. And one I have been thinking about lately...

Sea,

Going with our gut instinct doesn't always prove to be accurate. We do the best that we can.

SG,

Good answer.

Richmond,

Yes, there are no easy answers.

Yes. Certainly, decidedly, indisputably, and without question, yes.

. . . or feeling like you did the best that you could with the time that you had?

Unfortunately, no. Not even close.
