Time Mag's Top 100 Books

You can find the list here. Should I be concerned that I have only read about 12 of the 100 books on the list.

I'm really impressed that they included Watchmen. I've often said that Watchmen stands alone as the greatest graphic novel ever produced. But usually just the fact that it's a "comic book" means it's beneath notice. Well done, guys!

I would not let it bother me! (LOL)

Hmm, that's a pretty weird collection. I really do want to read what I haven't yet, but some of those books are a little... far-fetched to be considered "best".

A lot of Jewish stuff - 2 Bellows, 2 Phillip Roths, 1 Henry Roth.

I got to 12, too, but if you include the number of books I started and wasn't able to finish, my number probably would double.

I thought it was a reasonable list some good, some great, some marginal and a few glaring omissions, but not far off the mark.

You wrote "some of those books are a little... far-fetched to be considered 'best'." Out of curiosity which ones would you consider Far-fetched and why?

Don't be concerned Jack I read about 5 books a month, and I have only read 12 of these myself.

However, I now have a new reading list thanks.
