I have a small addiction. It is a problem that I do not want to solve, an itch that I can never quite scratch and don't really want to.
I am in love with Trader Joe's and Costco.
Yes, I just said it outloud, ask the guy in the cubicle next to me. I love Trader Joe's and Costco. There are so many good things to eat, so many interesting items and so much cool stuff to go through.
I hit both of these places on about a weekly basis. When I have a craving for Ghiradelli chocolate, or some Two Buck Chuck Trader Joe's is just the thing.
And when the next big one hits I plan on being at Costco. I'll duck the falling items and when the shaking has stopped begin preparing for one hell of a party.
With my trusty forklift I'll clear a path and set up one of the barbecues. There will be steak, chicken, burgers, turkey burgers too. Hebrew National hot dogs, chips and more.
There will be fabulous music played on my sound system and a dozen different sporting events on the big screens in the electronics section.
In a different corner I'll set up one of the inflatable pools and across the store I'll construct a network so that I engage in some live blogging about my experience. It is going to be one hell of a party, won't you please join me.

Hi Jack, just had to respond to this post...it's like admitting out loud you like Barry Manilow! I love Trader Joes and Costco too...in fact, my husband and I have some of our best times strolling the aisles of Costco together (okay, so we're old). In fact I tried to relay this to "Citizen of the Month" when he posted about his Saturday night at the laundromat...Costco provides the perfect date...music, flowers, movies, and fine dining...what could be better?!!

The free samples at Costco Saturdays are my lunch.
I LIKE BARRY MANILOW!
Trader Joe's, yum. I cannot exist without their frozen chocolate-covered bananas.
Must go. Am drooling now. Ummm ...
Barry is not my taste, too old for me. But the free samples, I can go for those. Too much fun.
Whole Foods is alright, they have some good stuff. But one of the reasons that I prefer Trader Joes to them is that they carry the same or similar items without the extra markup in price.
