O'Reilly is Still Bugged By Christmas

Media Matters has a nice blurb today about O'Reilly's latest foolish commentary about Christmas and what MLK's position would be if were still around.

From the "Talking Points Memo" on the January 17 edition of FOX News' The O'Reilly Factor:

O'REILLY: Dr. King would be appalled by the secular culture, the attacks on Christmas, the demonizing of Christianity. By the way, where's the ACLU [American Civil Liberties Union] and other pinheads when Martin Luther King's picture is displayed on public property? He openly advocated the philosophy of Jesus and proudly declared himself a Christian. What say you, ACLU? Dr. King yes, the creche no? Think about it.

This is so silly. Does he really think placing a picture of Dr. King on public property is the same thing as placing a creche. Is he trying to say that Dr. King should be viewed as some kind of deity. C'mon Bill, you are losing it.

One can only hope that Valentine's Day will help to get O'Reilly's mind off of Christmas. Seems as if it might be time to put the tinsel away and move on.

Valentine's Day- Bah, I wouldn't miss it if I never heard the name again. Remind me to Send Bill a Valentine from the Grinch.
