Begging Forgiveness

I am a bit of a maverick, a rogue, a cowboy you could say. I have an independent and rebellious nature mixed in with a guilty conscience. As you may imagine my lack of interest in asking for permission and or following rules has created a fair amount of trouble for me. I cannot count the number of times someone has been upset with me because I just went and did it, whatever it may be.

The flip side is that I think that I have been able to succeed on some projects because I didn't hang out waiting for everyone else, I did the work and then moved on. Essentially I dance in the flames and try not to get burned. I am not very graceful, but I don't bare too many scars either.

One of the most challenging things I have to deal with is authority. I don't like being told what to do, and yes I know the old adage that no one does, but I don't buy that. Some people prefer to be told what to do, they don't like to think and are afraid to color outside of the lines. I am not only not afraid to do so, I am not sure that I am able to. I always was told to focus on staying in the lines.

So what does any of this mean anyway? I don't have time now to really consider it, but I do so enjoy beginning my day with a new post. So thank you for indulging me, more on this and other things to come.

Ya know Jack it's the mavericks, rogues and cowboys who usually end up making the big bucks and working for themselves.
Great to see someone who can successfully analyze both the pros and cons of their nature.
You have a lot going for you cowboy!
