Native Americans visit Israel

"The Native Americans in the Israeli president’s sukkah were in full regalia — eagle feathers, turquoise and red beads, leather moccasins. Beating on drums, they chanted honor songs blessing the people of the Jewish state. By coming to Israel this week after a brief trip to Poland that included a visit to Auschwitz, a group from the First Nations Peoples, as they call themselves, sought to connect with the Jewish people, whom they see as sharing a similar history to their own."

I thought that the full story was pretty interesting.

I had not heard about this. What a beautiful story.

How deeply touching -- this gesture of understanding borne from a shared sense of loss and struggle.

High actualy I heard John Paul Jackson talk about this on TBN, I still have the video, Where Mr. JAckson said that the first nation native Americans brought 120 drums to Israel and chanted songs and Jewish Rabiis interupted them and asked them who taught those songs to you? , and they said we inherited them from centuries and centuries ago from grand father to father to son ect., And the Jewish Rabiis were shocked because they sing those songs too, on special occasions because that is high Hebrew!!. Now thats why now the relationship with these native Americans and Israelies has gotten a lot closer to say the least.
