I am so pleased that the New Year is almost here, if for no other reason than I am ready to say goodbye to this last year. It was long and arduous and it had a number of challenges that I am glad to see in the rear view mirror.
Beyond that I am happy to be able to take a couple of days off to collect my thoughts and look at what is coming down the line.
We enrolled my son in a Hebrew immersion program at his preschool. The goal is that by the end of the year he is going to speak English and Hebrew fluently. And hopefully he'll speak with something less then my American accent which is quite strong.
Yesterday we began our special time and used the few words he has learned. I look forward to doing more with him. He is a little nervous, but excited about all of it.
Last night my daughter slept through the entire night. It is too early to consider this a trend, but I am excited at the thought of not waking up every couple of hours. Of course even though she slept, I did not and my thoughts show it. I am just a tad off and more tired than I like to be, but you only live once.

Jack,
You should have a happy, healthy new year. You should have everything you want materially and spiritually. You and your family should know only simchas this year. (I wish I could remember all the other stuff you are supposed to say!!!!) You sound like a great dad with a wonderful wife and kids. You should only have nachas from all of them. I look forward to hearing more about you and your family and life in the coming year.
Be well,
Yetta
