Everything Happens For a Reason

This post did consist of text, but I didn't like it. So this replaces it.

1. It's refreshing to hear a "blogging friend's" voice. I think that in general, the first time you hear someone's voice, that you've interacted with in the past - it's rarely quite what you expected.

2. I've never been to southern California - is the water cold there, too? I've been to the north, and it was very weird to me that the water was so cold when it was so hot outside.

Nu,

Did my voice match your expectations?

As for Socal it is warmer here than in the North and we have better baseball and basketball teams.

Water is definitely warmer, but not like Hawaii.

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what I thought your voice would sound like, but it wasn't that. Not that it's bad, of course. But you definitely does sound like a Jack.

One day I'll make it out there. I've been to the other side of the Pacific, though (Thailand, Vietnam) - and the water there is definitely nice and warm. Of course their lack of any real winter might help with that...

Vietnam, that is a bit of a trek from here. ;)

Yes, and flying that much does not make the flights any more enjoyable...

But I would recommend Thailand (and Laos) first - in my experience, people in the service industry are nicer there (and you have to deal with plenty).
