I'm so with you! As an Orthodox Jew, I do not celebrate Saint Valentine's Day, and neither does the vast majority of my community, across the entire right-left spectrum. The Christian and even pagan origins of this holiday are well-documented. I resent the media's assumption that this holiday is for "everyone". Even with Christmas, there's at least some token attempt to be a little sensitive to non-Christians.
Hey everyone: if you're Jewish, here's a short poem:
Don't celebrate the Saint's day of love
Just save it for Tu B'Av!
It is just another one of those holidays that is problematic.
