I am typically skeptical of professional athletes who choose to run for office, but I agree with much of what Barkley says in this interview.
I believe this man means well. I remember his post 9/11 interview where he expressed his hope that the citizens of America had finally come together & realized how we had been guilty of forgetting our responsibilities to each other/the world & had narrowly categorized one another. One year later he was once again interviewerd & he said how disappointed he was that Americans had reverted back to our pre-9/11 behavior of disregarding & disrespecting.
