Haveil Havalim- Purim Is Over Edition

Updated to include a few new posts including those with Jameel The Waffle King.
Welcome to the Purim is over edition of Haveil Havalim. I noticed today that someone spent a lot of time reading my old post
You Just Aren't that Funny. They probably are wondering why it is not called "You swear Like a Sailor." See, the computer is giving me grief, but I am not here to kvetch...much.

Ok on to the carnival. There are some outstanding posts this week. Read carefully. As a warmup you can begin with my post Death Comes For Us All- When Do you Start Saying Goodbye.

From Treppenwitz Free advice (and worth every cent). Every morning some people give thanks to coffee.

Coffee seems like a natural segue to The Waffle Conspiracy. And the answer is that these waffles are awfully tasty. Speaking of waffles Jameel made a special delivery to Joe Settler, Rafi and Treppenwitz.

I know, I know. Some people are so addicted to waffles they'll declare war.

Jack,

Thanks for the telling about the Rabbi attacked in Brooklyn, about how women bloggers have difficulty with conflict (too true), the agunot petition, and the origins of Hamantaschen.

I can't really thank you for yet more about Obama's grandma speech. Enough already.

Oh, and thanks for the link to my pick a pastry post, too. I added my pareve, trans fat free classic hamantaschen recipe at the bottom.

Here is a cut-and-paste to a news item of great significance: The AP reports that "Italy's most prominent Muslim, an iconoclastic writer who condemned Islamic extremism and defended Israel, converted to Catholicism Saturday in a baptism by the pope at a Vatican Easter service."

The meaning of this event may take a long time to digest. Even for Jews it is favorable--in the sense that it is a triumph of the freedom of will as opposed to submission.

Does anyone have any idea how many Muslims convert to Judaism?
