Rumor has it that later today my doc might remove this bleeping splint from my hand. This would make me quite happy because typing like this is a mighty pain-in-the-ass.
Anyway, I'll throw out a topic:
Disnyeland Versus Disneyworld- Which do you prefer and why?

DisneyLAND, hands down. The weather is much better in southern CA. The park is a little smaller and therefore much more manageable, especially with smaller kids. Did I mention the weather? I'd suffer the five hour flight any time to go back to DL vs. braving the heat, humidity and old people in Orlando!
The Ritz, definitely.
Oh, wait, that wasn't one of the choices?
Never mind.
Well, there's less humidity in California. On the otherhand, the Atlantic is warmer than the Pacific. Or is it the other way around? Feel better.
As Floridian, I say Disneyland... The Mouse has ruined much of central Florida since Disneyworld opened. I wish they had stayed in California.
DisneyWORLD - - bigger and more parks.. but don't go in the summer.
never been to D world...I love Disneyland. But not in the summer
Babka,
I am partial to Disneyland, but that is because of proximity. Aside from Epcot I can't think of anything that we don't have out here.
Fee,
The Ritz? Are you sure that you have kids. ;)
Doc,
The Mighty Pacific is always preferable.
Oceanguy,
I know a few folks out here who might say the same about the mouse as well.
Val,
Bigger is not alway better. As for parks, aside from Epcot I am not sure that there is a significant difference.
CM,
It is great when it is packed full of people and 192 in the shade.
5 parks, multiple resorts, a world class transportation system and none of that stupid LA traffic and summer LA heat - our kids and now our grandkids have done both and hands down, without a doubt it is disneyworld (a real vacation experience) vs disneyland (a day at at a theme park)
Dave,
Are you really going to try and say that Florida is not hot in the summer. C'mon.
We have every theme park and then some here.
yes you do - we've been to everyone. and the total is less than what you get at disney world, with easy transportation between (no packed LA freeways - and I've lived there so don't tell me they aren't); dozen's of swimming pools and great restaurants and service - all at one price within one park. there is no basis for comparison.
Dave,
Ok, so we're in agreement that the weather in L.A. Is better.
The parks are equivalent. There is little to no difference between the hotels.
Truth is that you can't really expect to hit all the parks in one vacation.
But let's say that you do, if you stay by Disneyland there is no issie with the freeway.
And you can hit Disneyland and California adventure in a day or a weekend easily and with better parking options.
