Ok folks, it is time for a new question. This is for musicians and non-musicians alike. Pretend you could take a pill that would make you an expert at playing a particular instrument.
What instrument would you pick and why?
(If you already play that instrument feel free to include that in your answer.)

I play the guitar and the tin whistle, but neither well enough to cater to an audience that has been exposed to any musical instrument before, so I'd actually just like to be better at playing both.

Jack, I sing. I sing pretty well. I am also a novice at playing things with strings.
If I could take a pill to make me an expert, It would have to be the guitar. It is small, portable and fits with everything.
piano...then everyone would gather around to look at me for something other than tripping down a flight of stairs.
I just asked DB this question a couple days ago. Actually, I asked him what instrument he might want to learn.
He immediately answered the trumpet, and when I asked why he said he wants to play like Louis Armstrong. This kid is a riot.
Personally I would like to become more proficient at playing the piano. I miss it.
Hard question: I used to play guitar pretty well, but it's been many years since I had the time - I'd like to have the time to pick it up and get good again. OTOH, I've ALWAYS wanted to play the BANJO!
Saxophone, but I will leave the obvious juvenile reason out.
I'm a professional flutist. I don't need a pill my instrument, just lots of practice. On the other hand, I would rejoice if my piano skills would exponentially improve with medication.
Piano. I used to play but I'm very rusty at it. Also, while we're dreaming, I'll have a big grand piano in a "music room." (Not a little electronic keyboard crushed in between two cabinets.)
Violin, definitely. Why? I love its voice-like quality.
The trumpet.
I love the tones of brass instruments, and trumpets are much more portable than, say, trombones.
A tin whistle? I bet that I could play that.

Makes sense, but I would think that a trombone is still easier to transport than a tuba. ;)

The drums, definitely. I grew up playing various orchestra instruments, so none of those hold much appeal.
