One of my favorite songs.
Ok, raise your hand if you were surprised to hear her sing this next song:
"When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun'." — Groucho Marx

I was very sorry when she died - Jewish music lost a great singer who did a fabulous job promoting traditional as well as er, updated - yemeni music ( I was glad they picked her for the voice of Yocheved in the I forget the name, but you know the animated Moses movie). Nonetheless, I have to admit, hearning her sing many of her own and others' syrupy pop music, did nothing for me. I still keep CDs of her doing traditional and semi-traditional stuff, but I think Taylor should be allowed to do his own singing.
You're thinking of Prince Of Egypt.
i know the second song from one of her greatest hits albums
She could sing any song beautifully.
The first song is great. The wacky dancers were distracting.

I must be missing a big piece of the puzzle.
Why would you be surprised to hear her sing a James Taylor song?

Are you familiar with Carole King or James Taylor?
Miriam,
Quite true.
Alice,
Wacky dancers are problematic.
Mark,
