It is Official Carter Has Lost His Mind

This is just ridiculous commentary.

Carter said Hamas, besides winning a fair and democratic mandate that should have entitled it to lead the Palestinian government, had proven itself to be far more organized in its political and military showdowns with Abbas' moderate Fatah movement.

So according to Carter, because Hamas cheats better at elections, and is more efficient at killing people, they are a legitimate governing force?

What planet is that jerk on?

Carter has been so ludicrous in his comments that many in my congregation and on the Gulf Coast aren't sure about supporting Habitat for Humanity.

Like most of the world, Carter twists facts to further demonize Israel. Never liked the man and never will.

I tend to think Hamas, is evil and his support of thier legitimacy is pure stupidity. I suspect he is too much of an outsider to see the reality for what it is. However , I do support not reoppening aid to Abbas. Supporting anyone in a fight only prolongs the fight.

I agree with him that "All efforts of the international community should be to reconcile the two, but there's no effort from the outside to bring the two together."

Unfortunately this may be hopelessly naive. Carter seems to have missed the boat, and any chance this boat had sank like the titannic many years ago.

Michael,

It is called Planet PLO Paycheck.

Shirah,

He is a piece of work.

Bill,

Carter lost it. He needs to focus on something like Habitat for Humanity.
