Popular Posts and Some Thoughts To Share

I have been rather heavily involved in several discussions around the blogosphere regarding Islam and same sex marriage. I have had a good laugh at some of the people taking swipes at me.

Disagreements in the blogosphere have a way of dissolving into little pissing contests that resemble junior high in which logic and reason are relegated to innocent bystanders. Each side puffs up their chest and declares themselves to be the victor. What a hoot.

What really makes me smile are the illiterate and illogical rantings of some of those people who have taken opposing positions to those of my own. If it makes you feel good to use pejorative terms to describe my lineage and my politics I am happy to let you do so as it just proves that I got to you. And that really isn't my MO in these things.

I like to engage in a good debate and I like to be challenged. The problem is that on these particular topics extreme positions are taken and they really do not lend themselves to real dialogue. Perhaps we'll follow this up later. In the interim allow me to share the results of the old stat counter. Here are some search terms that were used to find this blog and some popular posts:

Mr. Happy? What is that referring to?

Almost 20 years

Next week marks the 20th anniversary of the launch of this spot. Hard to believe, not many have kept going since then. I have barely kept up...
