Take Responsibility For Your Actions

As a kid I loved Evel Knievel. I remember following his stunts and thinking that he was pretty cool, but I was disappointed to read this.
"I can't wait to meet God," he says, "and ask why he didn't make me go faster on some of those jumps, why he put me through all this pain. He knows I'm not evil."
No one forced you to do those stunts.

There was a sort of biography show on him on TV recently- boy, has he aged. Looks old beyond his years. And no wonder, with the abused he subjected his body to!

I read this article on EK with some sadness as well- he was, when I was growing up as a kid- probably the most talked about celebrity in my universe. Granted that was small, but it was sad to know that he is in such pain now.

Remember the urban legend that he broke every bone is his body except for his left pinky?

Evel was cool...though even the Fonz tried a motorcycle jump.

Sheesh - next you'll dredge up Welcome Back Kotter!

RR,

He looks like he is a thousand.

Amishav,

Yes, but it was his choice to do it.

Jameel,

Up your nose with a rubber hose. ;) I loved that show.
