Purim is coming. It is one of my favorite chagim as it is just plain fun. Initially I had planned on composing a relatively brief post about Purim. I wanted to share a few memories, comment on a couple of lines in the Megillah and get out.
However, plans have a way of changing, or should I say that sick little girls can change your plans. My baby girl has decided to imitate Linda Blair in the Exorcist and is working on redefining the meaning of projectile vomit. I'll spare you the details and instead share a few other thoughts with you.
In Purim related news I wrote about my son and the goldfish he won at the Purim carnival here and here. On Sunday we'll head out to enjoy yet another Purim carnival. I'll try hard to keep him away from the fish for obvious reasons.
On an entirely different note one of my grandfathers has pneumonia and has been in the hospital since last Saturday. He is 91.5 and although he is as tough as nails I am nervous. The last two days he has not been real responsive and his breathing has been exceptionally labored, although much improved from when he was initially admitted.
Grandfather number two turns 92 next week and my grandmother will be 92 in a month.
Somewhere in the middle of all this my baby sister will be having a baby, her first. She'll be fine, but she doesn't really get what she is in for. It is 1:30 am, maybe I should call her now and get her prepped for the coming lack of sleep.
Ok, time for me to go flip the laundry and try and get some sleep. See you all tomorrow.
