Stories that Grabbed My Attention

Here are a few stories that caught my eye:

Judaism has a Ketuba (wedding contract) but this a little different.
"Frey's wife also provided police with an alleged "marriage contract," which was entitled "Contract of Wifely Expectations." In it, Frey allegedly gave his wife chances to earn "good behavior days" -- or GBDs -- by complying with certain demands, such as hygiene and self-care. "You will shave every third day," the contract states ... You will be naked within 20 minutes of the kids being in bed."The document spells out how many points can be earned by performing certain sex acts. Frey's wife said she never signed the contract."
Some people are just dangerous to be around.
"A man from Sheridan is facing explosives charges after he accidentally blew up his own car with a gas-filled balloon he was taking to a Super Bowl party. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office
found a suspicious-looking car Sunday afternoon behind the old Duggan's gas station in the 4500 block of South Santa Fe Drive frontage road. Passersby had called in to report some type of explosion or car accident.

When a deputy arrived to check it out, he found a white car that showed obvious signs of an explosion. All the windows were blown out, the vehicle doors were bent towards the outside and the roof was pushed about a foot higher than normal."
Who Gains Weight In College
Incoming College Freshmen Average 7 Lbs. Weight Gain

"Of all the memories of college, gaining weight in the first year is not among the fondest. Many will recall it as a time when chins sagged and hips grew before they really ought to have.

The memory is no myth.

A new study of 69 incoming students at Rutgers University eating at university dining halls found that between fall and spring they put on an average of 7 lbs.

The weight gain was the result of consuming an extra 112 calories a day, the study found. Three-fourths of the students in the study put on weight."

I always heard it was called the "freshman 15."

Not Quite Abandoned

I didn't think it had been as many months away from here as it has clearly been. I was certain I had updated this place in December and ...
