My Son & The Strip Club

If my experience as a blogger has proven anything it is that any mention of sex generates ton of interest. Can't say that I am really that surprised, but this is not really so much a post about sex or commentary on it.

Instead it is just a simple story about a recent event in my life. I was driving down the 91 when we came across a billboard promoting a local strip club. It caught my son's eye and he threw me with the following comment.
"Dad, I think that she likes to play with balls."
It took me a moment to respond because I was trying to figure out what it was that he was saying. For those of you playing the home game let me describe the scene to you. It is a big billboard with the name of a gentleman's club and a bikini clad woman, mind you that Ms. Bikini is sitting on a stage with her legs spread and an inviting smile.

But fortunately I am fairly fast on my feet and I realized that he viewed her as having assumed the proper position for playing ball in the house. He knows that if you play indoors you sit down and roll the ball. At 4.5 sometimes he sits with his legs spread because it is easier for him to grab the ball.

I was relieved and pleased when I put it all together and realized that in this respect his innocence is still intact. I want to keep it that way for as long as I can.

P.S. I should add that his mother was less than pleased when he asked me if she might enjoy playing ball with us and I said that she might. It was all that I could do not to take that line and extend it further. What can I say, I am a little twisted, but in a good way.

And now if I may quote Bob Dylan:

BOB DYLAN - Forever Young Lyrics
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

That's hysterical - definitely one for the books. You're a genius for figuring that out!
