Discovery is Home

I was pleased to hear two sonic booms this morning letting me know that the Shuttle was back. Nonetheless I still turned on the television to see that it has appeared to have had a safe landing here in California at Edwards Airforce base.

Woke up just in time here in Florida to watch myself. Loved it.

1986..My birthday- what a disaster, it was terrible to witness that one.

2 yrs ago, living then north (Vero Beach)for a short time of where I returned to and am now....was able to watch lift off- see it in the sky. Then time for landing we ran in and out of the house watching up above live and the TV. Then the silence! so sad. Wrote a post on it.

The other day..held my breath and have monitored the situation since their departure. So happy this a.m. to see all arrived home safely.

Take care....Enjoying your posts and still visiting hope that is okay! (smiling)
