John Hughes Movies- What character would you be?

This is for all of my fellow graduates of the '80s. If you were a character in a John Hughes movie who would you be and why? I suppose that if I am going to ask this question I should have an answer, but the reality is that I really don't.

I just thought of this and decided to throw it out for general consumption. If you come up with a really cool, inventive answer I just may decide to take it for my own, or maybe I won't.

Tied into this let me add my observation that there are still way too many men who think that they are Russell Crowe in "Gladiator." It was funny the first couple of times you walked onto the field and rubbed dirt between your hands. Now you just remind me of my son the mud pie baker.

Or maybe it is just because I am consistently exposed to him and his fellows all the time. Ok, I am really trying hard not to break into a round of Wiggles tunes. Give it about 5 minutes and I'll be giggling about Thomas or Bob the Builder.

So what character are you and why?

I would be the female version of Cameron Frye in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". I could really relate to his personality type. I always try too hard to be what others want me to be that I have a difficult time figuring out who I am supposed to be. And I don't like to be aggressive until I just can't take it anymore and, like in the movie, the car goes sailing off the edge. :-) Also it's like I really want to have a good time but the weight of responsibility is greater.

One of my favorite John Hughes movies is "Christmas Vacation." Gotta love the Griswolds!

Hands down, I would be the little brother in "Sixteen Candles":

"What are YOU bitching about? I'm sleeping under a Chinaman named after a duck's dork!"

Classic.

Good answers, but I am still not sure who I want to be. Can't be the Duck Man, not sure that I'd want to be Eric Stoltz in Some Kind of Wonderful or even Jake In Sixteen Candles. Hmmm....

I would definitely be some sort of mix of Brian and Allison from "The Breakfast Club." The loner freak and the geek. From Brian, the pressure to make good grades and go to college, from Allison, living on the fringe, being overlooked and ignored. I'm Allian.

Forget John Hughes.
The interesting question is, "which John Waters movie character would you be and why?"

If you are going to come on and try and change my topic you could answer your own question.

And on the topic of John Hughes I have to go with one of the heavyweights, Ferris Bueller. Why not be the guy who has everything work out for him.

As an alternative I might have to pick one of the John Candy characters.
