My daughter's first month

Tomorrow will mark the completion of the first full month of my daughter's life. It has been an interesting month. The country is still at war, the Olympics are in full swing, my father has not yet returned home and life has been incredibly busy.

As far as our little corner of the world goes it has gotten progressively easier. We are all sleeping more, but not as much as I would like. But, the extra sleep is making it all easier to deal with. Life is always going to have some challenges. And we will always find a way to get by them because that is just what you do.

At least that is really the only way we know to be. You hit things head on and plow through. Sooner or later you'll reach daylight and it will be better. I suppose that if I had weaker coping skills it would be different, and sometimes I wish that were the case. But the reality is that I cannot lie down even if I want to.
