The subway system in America's capital city is set to be the scene of a poster campaign war between a pro-Palestinian organization seeking to harm Israel's image and a pro-Israel group which has decided to fight back.
Last month, the 'US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation' (ETO) placed 20 poster ads showing "an imposing tank pointing its main firing turret at a child with a schoolbag walking along a dirt road," the Canadian Jewish News (CJN) reported.
"'Imagine if this were your child's path to school. Palestinians don't have to imagine,' the poster states, before continuing to call for an end to US aid for 'Israel's brutal military occupation… paid for by US taxpayers like you,'" the report added.
But a response to the anti-Israel campaign was not long in coming, after the Los Angeles-based StandWithUs (SWU) decided to launch its own pro-Israel poster ads.

While SWU is right in this case, they often cause more damage with their extremist and ignorant low-quality hasbara.
They are inept and incompetent.
I know-- I used to work for them.
NOTE: Crossposted as a random comment on a Jackblog – couldn’t quickly find a waffle-posting.
Dude, what you really need for the waffle-house is someone who is equidistant between a Belgian and a Jew. Someone who can swim semi-comfortably among both types of fish.
I know of only one such.
Yes! What a bargain! What a deal! The Back of the Hill is ‘volunteering’ for occasional oversight duty at Beis-melech Ha Wafleem!
Don’t know when or if I’ll ever get there, but the idea of a waffle-hut in the Shomron appeals immensely.
Now, make that waffle palace happen. Open up a big mega-wide trailer near a main road, with a multi-burner range and several waffle-irons. Long live the Belgian comestible revolution!

We need to have more of these public service announcements that let people know what we're really fighting against- On a later post- I commneted that if I had big bucks, I'd spend a lot of time on a boat. I take that back- if I had big bucks, I'd run an advertising campaign to remind Amercans why we support Israel.

I doubt that. Sf voice for Israel is affiliated with them, and given how damned few people are actually out there doing anything at all about the pro-Palestinian propaganda and lies, and the soft-in-the-head idea that if only Israel stood down, bent over, and buried her collective head in the sand those peace-loving little Pally butterflies would reciprocate, I will only fault SWU for not being enough, rather than being limited.
And I say that as someone who has been called a murderer, psychopath, and zio-nazi.
When the phrase 'yitbach al Yahud' is common at anti-Israel demos, something is very wrong in the US. If Berkeley socialists can learn the phrase "falastin baladna wal Yahud kalabna", and chant it with just the right native accent, then the extremist and ignorant party is not represented by SWU.
If you disagree with them, build your own pro-Israel organization. The more the merrier. The fact is that there are precious few people who actually dare counter the anti-Israel crap, fewer still who wil actually call the other side on their bullshit.
I have to agree with "Back of the Hill".
Anon,
Someone has to do something.
BOTH
Got it.
Amishav,
Israel has never been good at Hasbara and can certainly use more efforts to help it.

Well said.
Mark,
Agreed.
