This is the man that taught me how to back a trailer. He also taught me to drive. I wonder how long he will be able to do that on his own.<BR/><BR/>We have to live it up each day. Tomorrow they will be different. One day, they will be gone.bigwhitehathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378526701377764387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7082887.post-89006535922363083972008-06-29T07:26:00.000-07:002008-06-29T07:26:00.000-07:00Thoughtful post Jack. A week before he died he told me, "I'm getting to be a very old man". Very hard to deal with, but inevitable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7082887.post-24842269250334348282008-06-28T09:42:00.000-07:002008-06-28T09:42:00.000-07:00My parents are 86 and all my grandparents have bee...My parents are 86 and all my grandparents have been gone for years. Fortunately, my parents are quite with-it, living independently and are generally, in great shape. Especially my mom. She's actually 6 months older than my dad, but takes great delight in everyone assuming she's (as she puts it) "the trophy wife."<BR/><BR/>I feel lucky I don't have to worry about anything with them right now, but I also realize anything can happen. We're visiting them in NY next week and it's been way too long.Doreen Orionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12026294659806001562noreply@blogger.com
