You can have a good attitude and still be well aware that things are not what they should be.

You can have a good attitude and work towards change or you can have a bad attitude and work towards change. The success of your venture may hinge upon your attitude.Jack Steinerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16625864271071630940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7082887.post-1125840551480865952005-09-04T06:29:00.000-07:002005-09-04T06:29:00.000-07:00Positivity is good, but not when it turns into nai...Positivity is good, but not when it turns into naivity. For example: claiming the war in Iraq is worthwile because the tribes are debating the 'constitutional process' while the country itself remains ablaze is not positivity, that is just dangerous self deception.

Positivity is a constructive emotion that needs to be footed in reality for it to serve purpose. When you are positive when there is no reason to(state of the world for example) than you are just a fool.

Pessimism can also be constructive, in that it steers away from self destruction and convinces people/society to mount new paths. Again take Iraq, when the publics discontent with the war remains deflected by the Bush government then the cowboy will never feel the heat of the electorate that is the primary incentive for him to alter or better yet abandon his occupation policies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7082887.post-1125813029996408182005-09-03T22:50:00.000-07:002005-09-03T22:50:00.000-07:00What a positive, life-affirming post.
