Dealing With Hormones- Teenage Sex

I have a little issue in my neighborhood that we are trying to resolve. There is a problem with teenagers using my block as a safe place to engage in sexual activity.

My home is located just short of the corner of the street. There is a large lot nearby that was once used by several radio stations, most recently Radio Disney. Between the lot and my house there is a sort of blind spot that was created. None of the surrounding homes face the blind spot directly, but they do have windows that face that direction so it is not impossible or unlikely for someone to see what is going on in the cars that are parked there.

For that matter if I do any work in the yard than I am working almost directly in front of them, but that hasn't prevented raging hormones from taking over.

I am not a prude and I certainly remember the days where I desperately searched for a place to take my girlfriend so I have a certain amount of sympathy. But I also knew enough then to have a little discretion and not put on a show for bystanders.

This past weekend I had to ask a couple to take their show elsewhere. I was working in my garage and tooling around the front yard to try and fix a sprinkler head and a couple of lights when I noticed an older Honda, or should I say I noticed that there was a teenage boy in a semi-reclined position in the front seat.

I pay attention to what happens in my neighborhood because that is part of being a good neighbor and I had never seen the car there before. I glanced at the car and probably would have walked away but there was a flash of movement inside the car and it made it obvious what was going on inside.

Part of me wanted to just ignore it, but every now and then my son sneaks out of bed and stares out his window to watch the street and I am not willing for him to be exposed to this. He is far too young, not to mention that there have got to be a million places that are more private.

So I went back into the garage and waited for two minutes to see if they could finish up and leave, but when I got back out I found out that things had progressed to the next stage and I determined that I was unwilling to allow them to continue.

I turned on my sprinklers thinking that might wake them up and encourage them to move, but it was not enough to spur motion, so I had to walk over to the car and bang on it. And in one fell swoop I became part of a story that those two will tell.

The reason I banged on the car is because they ignored my initial tapping. It was only after I banged on the hood and yelled that they realized that the earth was not moving beneath their feet.

It took a moment for them to separate and then I read him the riot act and encouraged him to take his activities elsewhere. Part of me felt badly because I sounded like such an old man, but there are times and places and this fit neither of them.

More to the point in the four years that we have lived there I have had to chase people away around three times. It is not all that frequent, but I cannot allow it to be viewed as a safe haven.

The next day my neighbor told me that he chased them away the night before, so we'll see if this happens again.

As a point of reference I told them that among the many reasons why this was not a good place to be discovered was because if I had to ask them again it was going to be after I filmed them and uploaded their activities to the Net.

Let me tell you, that got their attention.

LOL! They should at least get cars with darkened windows.

Can't wait to see the pics. Would love to see the parents faces when they come accross their car in a posting on the net.

What a spoilsport you are, Jack. Some people pay good money to watch live sex acts, you know.

Having a daughter that I (1) seemingly almost daily attempt to shield from things she shouldn't see or hear and (2) worry will be the girl in the car in 6 or 7 years... I applaud your old man impersonation!!!

Q,

I admit to being a big fan of sex and a proponent of frankly more sex, but I have this problem with it as a spectator sport. You see as a spectator sport I find it dull, it is hands on kind of deal. ;)

JG,

We do what we can.

Michael,

If the pix go up I'll let you know.

Irina,

Tinted windows make a difference.

Not Quite Abandoned

I didn't think it had been as many months away from here as it has clearly been. I was certain I had updated this place in December and ...
